Remember the games we used to play when we were little? We didn’t have any of this modern-era nonsense. TVs were for the adults to watch the news and computers were for business only.
And who can forget dial-up Internet? It took forever to connect online and there was not much to be done once you got there. All we kids had to do was take care not to get too dirty when going outside to play. And there was plenty to be done.
From pretend play (what we now like to call “role-playing”) to just kicking a ball around, we could never get enough. Can’t imagine how hard it must have been for our parents to haul us back inside at the end of the day.
But if we had to pick one game that we just could not get enough of, it has to hide and seek.
It really showed how creative and resourceful we were and just how much strategic thinking went into that game. If you were in your own neighborhood, then it was your turf. No nook or crevice was too small to sneak into until the seeker passes you by unknowingly and you won!
Ah, kids, today will never know the joys of that simple time…
Or at least it is what we thought until we saw this little kid and its awesome dad! Sure, the kid is way too young to have even the slightest of inclinations as to what the heck is going on, but mom and dad sure sound like they are having the time of their lives.
Plus it is an amazing bonding time for the three. The look on the baby’s face is just too precious! Safe in dad’s arms as he pokes the baby’s head out of the door frame while mom’s filming the entire charade, the kid looks like a character from an animated movie.
It’s like a hilarious variation of the peek-a-boo game, only it’s the adults who are having the most fun here. It does not matter, because we had a solid laugh out of this little family clip. Aren’t they just adorable?
This kid will definitely have a good childhood! How do we know that? Because we have tiny Sierra to give as an example. She plays hide and seek with her gentle giant Sebastian all the time.
And even though the dog looks like he could swat the kid like a fly, he behaves like he is just as tiny, showing more temperance than most people we know.
