‘Too Big’ For 2019 Grammy’s?!

Bebe Rexha is yet to find the perfect outfit to wear to the Grammys. Bebe Rexha, 29-year-old singer of “I’m a mess” slammed a couple of unnamed designers on Instagram last week.

She claims that they decided not to dress her for the ceremony next month because she is “too big”. Rexha talks about how getting nominated at the Grammys is the coolest thing ever to her as she was just nominated for Best Collaboration and Best New Artist for her song “Meant to Be” with Florida Georgia Line.

She says that most of the time, artists get designers to make them custom dresses in which they will walk the red carpet, so she had her team get in contact with lots of designers, but these designers did not want to dress her because she was allegedly too big.

Rexha continues saying that if anyone feels like a size 6/8 is too large, then she does not want to wear that person dress anyway. She believes that the message is crazy saying that every woman in the world needs to be smaller than a size 8 otherwise they are not beautiful enough to wear your dresses.

Rexha ended her video by calling those designers out directly, saying she does not want to wear their dresses.

Don’t Send Me Sample Sizes

“I’m sorry, I had to get this off my chest. If you don’t like my fashion style or my music that’s one thing. But don’t say you can’t dress someone that isn’t a runway size. Empower women to love their bodies instead of making girls and women feel less then by their size. We are beautiful any size! Small or large! Anddddd My size 8 ass is still going to the Grammys. #LOVEYOURBODY”

Her fans immediately showed support by commenting on this post, telling that she is a beautiful queen and that the designers do not even deserve for her to wear their dresses. Her fans were pushing to make this news go viral, thanking her for speaking up and assuring her that she is perfect the way she is.

Rexha embracing her curvy figure is not new to the public. She had shared a photo of her behind in October and she captioned it, “Size 8 and proud.”

She continues about how being a skinny pop star had always been her dream but she has come to realize that it isn’t going to happen, so she is asking these designers not to send her sample sizes because she knows that they will not fit and she is not willing to change herself just so that they will.

She urges them to work with both her and her “big fat a**.” : “Size 8 and Proud. Wanted to always be a skinny pop star but I’ll never be that. So to all the designers don’t send me sample sizes. They won’t fit and I won’t change myself to make them fit. Work with me and my big fat ass. Love, Bebe ?”
