Both fans and critics were totally amazed at Lady Gaga and Bradly Cooper’s performances in A Star Is Born.
In 2018, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper rocked in the latest movie version of A Star Is Born. Bradley made his directorial debut and knew exactly what he expected his stars to look like.
He wanted Lady Gaga to not wear makeup and he wanted none of the same old same old glamour to her character Ally, which was a challenge for Gaga. At one point she did attempt to bring in some makeup but Cooper caught on and flatly said No!
Cooper explained what he wanted from the character and believes Lady Gaga was wonderful! In an interview, Gaga said she he was the one person who truly believed in her.
She also said that she was totally blown away by his singing and even though he had to convince others that she was the right choice for the movie, he never had to convince her.
During her show in Vegas, she thrilled the audience by bringing Cooper on stage to join her in singing their duet “Shadow” as the closing number.
Many fans said their performance in the duel song “Shadow” was beyond belief! They also said that for everyone who did not see that performance really missed out on a landmark moment.
Lady Gaga’s First Oscar Nomination
Lady Gaga was nominated for her first Oscar in which she was the first artist to be nominated for Best Actress and Best Original Song in the same year. This 2018 film was the fourth remake of A Star Is Born.
The first was in 1937 with Janet Gaynor and Fredric March then adapted for the 1954 musical starring Judy Garland James Mason. Then in 1976, it was brought back as a rock musical with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson.
It could be the storyline, but every one of these versions of A Star Is Born, were loved by their viewing audiences.
Bradley Cooper said it was one of the greatest experiences he ever had and it felt so natural. He said he was very privileged to work with so many great artists during the filming of this smash hit move.
