Kensington Palace released a statement about the happy news, saying: “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019. Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public.”
The news was released just hours after the royals landed in Sydney, Australia for their first international tour, visiting Australia, New Zealand, the Kingdom of Tonga, and Fiji. Kensington Palace added that Meghan’s mother, Doria, “is very happy about this lovely news, and she looks forward to welcoming her first grandchild.”
The newborn, by the way, would be 7th in line to the throne. Lucky him!
Besides her pregnancy, the papers and media sites were full of awe when seeing Meghan exit the plane after a 15-hour flight. They all talked about how amazing she looked – it could be the pregnancy kicking in.
The Duchess told The Queen (first of course) and the rest of the Royal Family at Princess Eugenie’s wedding. well, my family believes that you shouldn’t overshadow one happy event with another, but I’m not part of the royal family.
When photos of Meghan at Princess Eugenie’s wedding were released, people started talking. Social media was full of speculations about her being pregnant, so yes, they were right.
