Lionel Messi Gets Wide Applause After Third Child

He might be the greatest football player of all-time, but FC Barcelona and Argentina legend Lionel Messi has a rather normal lifestyle. Like anyone else, he still spends plenty of time freaking out about the birth of his children!

Messi is now a father for the third time, and was met by his teammates with a large round of applause when he arrived at training. Having sat out the tie against Malaga on 10th March in anticipation of his child being born, he came back to training n Monday 12th as a third-time father following the successful and safe birth of Ciro Messi.

The club posted a classy video on their Instagram page, showing the club legend getting celebratory applause from his delighted teammates. Having given birth to the tiny little figure and becoming a three-time father, the five-time World Player of the Year posted on his Instagram on the 10th March to let everyone know the good news: Ciro was here, he was safe and he was very healthy indeed!

His wife posted a cute picture, too, of Messi, Antonella and his other two young children all around the delighted mother and father. It’s the kind of picture that any parent could look at and feel an immense feeling of joy and satisfaction at the birth of another healthy young child.

So, when he returned to the club on the Monday following their success at the weekend, his teammates felt right to pay him tribute following the safe birth of his son. Since then, Messi has scored two against Chelsea to send FC Barcelona to the Quarter-finals of the Champions League, and to help cement their place at the top of La Liga with an impressive 2-0 win over Athletic Club.

Congratulations, Leo – your ability both on the field and your maturity off the field should forever be applauded. With young son Thiago (2012) and Matteo (2015) now joined by another boy, it’s safe to say that there’s plenty of hope that the Messi name will live on both on the pitch and off
