Amy Schumer has made an amazingly quick recovery after giving birth to her first baby with husband Chris Fischer; just two weeks after laboriously producing a baby boy, Schumer is back at her comedy career!
CNN’s Jessica Yellin, who helped Amy announce her pregnancy back in October, was eager to share her support, commenting, “I can only imagine what a pump room looks like at a comedy club,” the journalist, 48, wrote. “Welcome back. #rockstar.”
Schumer and Fischer’s son, Gene Attel Fischer, had arrived on May 6, and Amy shared a photo of their little family the next day. It must have been a relief for the pregnancy to be over considering the hyperemesis gravidarum, which is characterized by severe nausea and dehydration, that she dealt with throughout.
However, the I Feel Pretty star kept her humor the entire time, asking social media followers if she was “glowing” and sharing frequent puking videos.
As a mother now, she continues to crack jokes, like her caption for her first ever Mother’s Day photo as a mom. Schumer commented, “Milf alert at 1 o’clock,” on the photo of herself in a hospital gown, hooked up to an IV while her friend held her new baby boy.
On May 18, she posted a pumping shot with the caption, “Guys what are we doing tonight?”
Schumer and the Fischer’s wedding last year was a surprise to all. “It was a very chill wedding. It was thrown together last minute,” a source told Us Weekly exclusively at the time. “Most of the guests found out the wedding was happening on Tuesday from a text message sent out by Amy on Sunday.
It was like, ‘Hey, this is happening. If you can make it, great. If not, no worries.’ People were in and out all night. It was a gorgeous day. Everyone was having a good time.”
