Whenever people think of veganism, they think of plants, vegatables, and leaves from the ground. Although vegans eat many fruits and vegetables, there are so many options available for most savory desserts you could only imagine would be truly not be made from milk and animal products. Today, we bring to you the recipe of the classic and childhood favorite: Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, good for everyone of all diets!
Okay, so lets start with the foundation of the chocolatey peanut butter treats treat, the ingredients:
You will absolutely need the following, but of course can substitute anything for what you like.
- 1/4 Organic Peanut Butter (Or also Almond Butter can truly make it sweeter)
- 1/2 Tablespoon of Coconut Oil (serves as a replacement for butter)
- 4 Teaspoons of Coconut Oil
- 1 Cup of Dark Chocolate Chips
Now lets indulge in the amazing and entertaining part: The baking process
What you are going to do next is grab a cupcake pan, baking papers with ridges, two pots, and all of the ingredients together. In one pot, you’re going to take the peanut butter and coconut oil and melt them together until it becomes a smooth enough mixture. In the other pot, you will melt the chocolate with the other set of coconut oil until it has become melted enough to fill the bottom and the top.
Following these steps, you will take a spoonful of the melted chocolate and pour just enough to fill a bottom layer in each cupcake frame. Following that, you will take a small spoon of peanut butter and place it on top of the layer. Next, take the current mixture and put it in the freezer for about fifteen to twenty minutes, and wait until the two layers are more firm and cooled. Now, place the last layer of chocolate on top of the mid layer, and put it back into the freezer for another 15 minutes. After these glorious steps are completed, you will have a serving of twelve peanut butter cups to serve as a dessert for your fancy dinner, or just for yourself and friends to try in a gathering.
There is the saying, “I can’t believe its not butter”, but in this case you could say “I can’t believe it’s vegan”!
